250th Summer Exhibition
Royal Academy of Arts, London
12 June – 19 August 2018
This year’s Summer Exhibition celebrated it’s 250th annual tradition, bringing together over 1,300 artworks in an eclectic display. Curated by Grayson Perry RA, Prison Culture was selected and situated in the room organised by Phyllida Barlow RA.
Prison Culture brings together 99 soap carvings; providing insight to the language, objects and spaces found across the British prison estate.
After the exhibition came to a close, I produced an edition of handmade books about the carvings. You can find out more information on the publication here.
